press Media Direct button and blue screen

I have Dell Vostro 1400. Yesterday, when I press Media Direct button, my computer has the blue screen (the Media Direct button works normaly before). Ever since then when I turn on my computer with the power button it goes to the media direct loading screen then turn to the blue screen.

I've pressed f8, tried safe modes, last known good configs,etc.. nothing will work.

Is there any way I can fix this without having anything deleted on my hard drive? I have lots of important files that i need. And what way to makes Dell mediadirect works again? Thanks.

Did you just reveal that if the hard drive or machine failed that you would lose your files? Please don't tell me that. PCs are unreliable today and the moderators here have a saying.

"We only lose what we don't backup."

I would not attempt any software repairs until I'm sure I would not have my files at risk.
