I use Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org Documentation is abundant and there are support forums for this software.
For video, I use my camcorder, the software that came with it and the video editing tools that came with my DVD recorder.
Some want software that takes no effort, but I haven't found much of that outside of game software.

Greetings:
I am a new teacher trying to develop a web based training program. I am really looking for a free software (I would difinately pay for one which offeres more once I become profecient in the preparation) that I can start with and one that is easy to use. I like to make my own slides and occassionally a short video clip to lecture to participants.
There are many presentation packages (I do not wish to use powerpoint) but many of them lack simple clear instructions to get their programs working. The inyerface as it is called are often too complicated even for the designers of the prohgram themselves.Soe times their instructions writer have no cluie of their own software.
I would like to:
1). Make my slides offline.
2)a. There after upload the slides to the web site and or
b. Simply keep it on my computer and people can pull from it.
3). If the package is to be posted on my website, then I prefer a program that is user friendly which would permit me to post it on the site and people can log in with their password and listen to the lecture or view the images whatever.I wish to concentrate on my lesson preparation rather then on the technical issues of the presentation process itself.
I would appreciate a list or recommendations please.
Thanks
