I read the new Ipad2 allows you to turn on 3G service subscriptions right from the device. But basically what I was seeing was only the ability to subscribe month to month; turning service on or off for a particular month. Better.
What I am wondering is when they will offer service Tracfone style? A user purchases say 5 gigs of data usage and has 60 days to use it. The more data you buy the longer it lasts and you can extend your unused data by buying more etc.
This is so much more appealing to me than spending say $60 for a months usage and having heavy storm in the area, which we had and could not get 3G connections at our house. Yes the storms didn't rage continuously for weeks but but it FELT like it. Also, I am sure there are other reasons, personal, medical etc. that could keep a person from using up their data limit for the month it's active.
Are there any plans hinted about for new tablets or for older tablets without 3G capability built in; maybe some dongle?
Thanks
