Hi Mike....if it helps you at all...my opinion...
Oct 20, 2005 11:02AM PDT

I am in Australia so if my opinion is any good.
I use prepaid for 6 months and it costs me under $200 (au).On top of that all it costs me then is 15cents (au)(for the phone call) everytime I connect to the internet. There are several different options for various costs.Westnet is who I go through and the service is very fast...if you email any queries to them there are options if you can wait for an answer or if you want an immediate answer. They contact you almost immediately.Never any problems. They are Australias best.No fees other than what I stated already. The prepaid option I have has a 4 hour limit. But if not finished you can reconnect as the popup comes on the screen to click reconnect - so you don't lose your page.I have gabbled on a bit - but I am happy with my service and will not change.I also have my account at the westnet site(which comes up first when you connect, just click to the area you want)and I receive free newsletters every month with all sorts of stuff in it.They always have competitions for something.Users participate too, and they inform you if your usage is higher than normal with a friendly newsletter....for security reasons.I have NO complaints at all against them, 100% happy.I think prepaid is great...once paid no need to worry about anything you know when due date is....and this being second 6 months I now have a bonus 3 weeks for being a loyal customer.I do a lot of downloads too.I have not reached my limit in any month for that either.
Hope this helps, although I guess you are not in Australia...in which case maybe you should move out here...LOL Happy
Mandy

Prepaid Internet Solution from Slingshot
Nov 4, 2008 6:33AM PST

There's a company out of Arizona that offers prepaid mobile Broadband. They're called Slingshot. You buy their Starter Kit, online (www.slingshot.com) or in any Pilot Travel Center, it comes with a Novatel 727 USB modem, a couple accessories and 2 months of 5GB service. When the 2 months is out, you can "recharge" your account online or again, at any Pilot Travel Centers. There's no contracts or obligations. It works all over the US anywhere you get cell phone service. Go to www.slingshot.com for more info.
