Premiere Elements 2.0 Capture function

Jul 17, 2006 11:38AM PDT

Has anyone been able to use the Capture Video function of premiere 2.0.

Although my computer recognizes my camera (Sony DCR-SR100) the software says capture device not active.

Thanks

Greg

Since it has no firewire but only USB 2.0...

That's proper. Use their software to get the video out.

No, it's not broken. Doesn't work with a Mac yet either.

Fire Wire
Jul 18, 2006 3:42PM PDT

Actually I can use fire wire, I just figured since the camera (DCR-SR100) and premire 2.0 both boast about their USB 2.0 capabilities I just figured that it would work..

Do you think it will work if I use the Fire wire cable instead of the USB cable? (Before I go spend the money on the cable)

Thanks AGAIN

Why firewire works.

It's a standard vs. USB which is all over the map on how to transfer. My last firewire cable was 2 bucks. I wonder why people keep trying USB.

If you feel USB should work, please ask the makers. I can't explain it.
