I believe his son was criticized for his service in the Air National Guard while Kerry actually experienced the conflict of war. Kerry, however, was criticized for his actions later on. I don't think either of them had a song written about their service such as did JFK.
I very much like that GWB has avoided meddling in politics with the next president's agenda.
The next president's agenda?...Obama's agenda?
He's got no problem meddling in TheRUMP's agenda.
It's ok to "meddle" if you skip a generation?
Just because he doesn't say Trump doesn't mean he doesn't express his opinion/meddle?
George W. Bush just laid a major smackdown on Trumpism
George W. Bush doesn't talk much about politics in public. Which makes the speech he gave Thursday in New York City -- a point-by-point rejection of Trumpism -- all the more important and noteworthy.
The 43rd president of the United States -- and the last Republican to hold the office before Donald Trump -- didn't mention the 45th president by name in his speech at the George W. Bush Institute. But Trump -- and his views -- were ever-present in the former President's address.

George W. Bush On Trump: 'Makes Me Look Pretty Good, Doesn't It?'
'meddling' and speaking out against Trump, they are all examples of 'dynasties', having a hard time letting go of the power they've held on to for far too long....even a few of the old Kennedy dynasty linger. Teddy has been hailed as a Dem hero when he should have gone to jail for a cowardly murder years ago. And a leader of the KKK was the LIAR's 'mentor' according to her own words. It's the 'establishment' that long term Dems and Reps have sunk their teeth into and refuse to step aside from that power....Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, McCain, McConnell, et al. I think the ideal situation at this point in time would be to have the Tea Party Republicans fight it out with the Socialist Dems and see where this country REALLY wants to go...….at this time, the establishment on both sides are terrified that that is what is actually happening and neither side can deal with it. Many of the youngsters who supported Bernie are a few years older now and a little wiser....and the saying of "when I was young I was a liberal Democrat, but as I got older I turned into a Conservative Republican" is actually true.
