I think folk should do what they want and accept the result. There are some that think this will shield their actions but forget that "honey pot" discussion. I won't repeat it but if I wanted to be dishonest and pick pockets I'd start a VPN service.

I just signed up with a vpn. Is this analysis of it correct? My internet provider, Time Warner cable, can see my isp is from another country and know I'm using a vpn. It would seem they could figure out which company fairly easily. The company won't reveal what I'm looking at without a court order.
With the Patriot act here in the US getting a subpoena is ridiculously easy. So it would seem the practical result of using a vpn is to delay the internet provider from finding out what I'm looking at by a few hours.
What do you think?
