PPT Screen freezes and goes Green when Video plays

Feb 12, 2007 3:37AM PST

I am using PPT 2003 on a P-4, strong video card computer. I will insert a video ( WMV or AVI or Mpeg 2 ) in PPT and The screen goes green and the program freezes. I can play the video on the Slide individually fine. ???

Usually driver related.

That sounds like out of date video or audio drivers to me.

I have Media Player 11, New Nvidea 256 PCI-X card & a Sound Blaster card. When I used MS Office 2000 on an older computer. I could put over 2 hrs of video in a presentation and it would run fine. Im just curious if theres a conflict. This happens on any computer I try it on. Even high end gaming computers.

Then I'd have to see it firsthand.

If not, call Microsoft but be aware their first answers will note drivers again.

You didn't reveal what encoding the video is in. Be exact, use this tool to tell me -> http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
