Powerpoint

Feb 11, 2006 8:11AM PST

I am creating a powerpoint presentation. I have added the pictures on the presentation. I have tried to add music from a purchased downloaded song and I can not get it to attach to the presentation. I used the Yahoo music site.
I tried what you recommended before in 2005, but I can not save my presentation, pictures or the song onto the CD-R I have in the drive. Any ideas please

Assuming that the music is not copyrighted or are not protected WMA files, it should be possible to save the music for your presentation.
The music MUST be in the same folder as the presentation or it will not work.
I assume that you have already got yourself a working presentation in a folder on your machine. Being unable to copy it to a CD would indicate a problem with your CD burning technique and not with PowerPoint.
Are you sure you are explaining this correctly?
Who was it that recommended what, in 2005?

I have copied the music unto a CD hoping to copy my presentation unto the same CD. mrmacfixit said on 1/29/05 message that all the files must be in the same folder to work (presentation, photos and music).
I can not copy the presentation from powerpoint to the CD.
When I am attempting to add music using the powerpoint insert - music from file, Powerpoint does not register the CD in the drive. I can not save the music from my playlist to anywhere else on the computer. Thank you for your help.

Your Problem

is that you have already burned something the CD and are trying to add to it. This cannot be done using the Finder.

Create a folder on and put your presentation inside it.
Export the music tracks that you need from iTunes and put the resulting tracks into the same folder as the presentation.
Now burn the complete folder on to a CD that has never been burned before.
When you burn a CD from the Finder, the disk is closed (finalized) on completion of the burn and NO further data can be added to it.
The Finder does not allow burns in "sessions". However, Toast does.

Follow the above and let us know how you go on
