Question

Power was cut now my computer is acting up

Help! My dad cut the power and now my computer is acting strange. My dad cut the power and turned it back on almost immediately. I had my computer on at the time and it turned back on just fine but I noticed that the internet had been disconnected. This is when I realised that I could not open any of the settings. If I tried to open network settings a blank menu would come up and nothing would load until it timed out and asked to kill the program. Now I have twitch playing but the chat will not load and random other things either won't load or load extremely slowly but twitch plays fine, no buffering at 1080p. I can have twitch playing but it'll tell me I have no network connection when I try to play an online game. I don't understand what this is or how to fix it. Please help Sad

First thing to do: shut down, wait a minute, boot. Might be fine now. If not, some software or hardware is damaged.
- If you think it's software, go back to your latest image backup, or reset/refresh Windows. If no luck, go back to factory conditions.
- If you think it's hardware, replace the broken component.

Not much to work with here.

1. Change your DNS to something like the Google DNS and others. This alone has fixed many "I can't connect or do this."
2. Boot to safe mode. Wait a few minutes for it to finish it's work, reboot normally and wait a day for the machine to scan, do its thing.
