Power Saver not working properly

Jun 28, 2006 5:22AM PDT

I am running Windows XP Professional SP2 and all the current fixes. My screen saver is set to go on after 5 minutes of inactivity and the power saver is supposed to turn off themonitor after 15 minutes. This was working fine until a few months ago when the power saver stopped working. This past weekend, i discover4d that the power saver will work but only when the screen saver rewuires the user password to be entered when leaving screensaver mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not need to have the PC password protected coming out of screensaver.

It worked without the screensaver. What I don't understand is that upuntil a few months ago it worked fine. Guess I would be using the screen saver. Thanks

Microsoft's updates could have fixed something and broke this.
