Power Point Viewers - differences?

Sep 29, 2004 1:06AM PDT

I have IE 6.0, Windows 98 2nd edn, OE 6.0, and wish to be able to open ".pps" attachments to e-mail.

Is there a difference between MS Power Point Viewers and MS OFFICE Power Point Viewers? I need to know which one could open the .pps attachments please.

Yes, I've seen subtle differences from the viewer to the full version of Power Point. But both do view the .pps files just fine.

Why not install one?

I downloaded MS Office Power Point Viewer 2003, thank you. But when opening the .pps attachment, I get the message:

"The MS Office Power Point Viewer could not start. This version of Power Point Viewer is only supported on Microsoft Windows 98 second edition, Windows ME edition....etc".

I do have Windows 98 second edition.

The version says: MS Windows 98 second edition 4.10.2222B. It has an OEM number.

I should remove the MS PPVwr 2003 first, right?

Sure. It helps to remove the odd thing that doesn't work...

Thank you, Bob. The .pps is opening now with PP Viewer 97.
