Power point not in program list

Sep 16, 2005 3:42AM PDT

I am running XP professional and have microsoft power point installed on hard drive with a short cut on the desk top.

When I receive an attachment with .pps and try to open I get message that asks if I want to search the web or a list of programs to open with. I selec list of programs but my powerpoint program does anot appear on list. How do I get it onto the list?

I can open the powerpoint program from desktop and then select the .pps file I downloaded and it opens fine. Just won't open automatically. How can I make this happen.

Roger
