Power Point 2000 reformat autoshape problem

Sep 27, 2004 12:12PM PDT

MS Power Point 2000 running under Windows Me:

I inserted an auto shape unto a blank slide. I then formated the shape for fill to change from the default green to no fill. I changed my mind and would like to fill auto shape with another color. However, when I tried to format the auto shape again, it could not be selected, i.e. the arrow did not turn into a four-headed one with the usual place holders and adjustment points. The only solution was to delete the silde and create a new one. Is there another way ? I am new to Power Point. Thanks.

1. Use the undo.
2. If you can select the item, tap the delete key.

Thanks. That works if I want to make a change immediately- but alas ! I changed my mind after I had created several slides and was rewiewing them, and that was when I decided on a change.
