Question

Power not staying on

Mar 25, 2017 5:58AM PDT

After installing new motherboard, the computer will not stay on. Installed is a CX600 power supply, 8GB new Ram, a (GATEWAY DX4860-UR28 MOTHERBOARD MB.SG50P.007), Before installing the motherboard, the fans would stay on but no signal to monitor. Now the fans spin for a second or two, shuts off, then tries to restart with the same effect. Rechecked all the cables, all are seated in snug. Also tried using the old ram. Wrote down where the cables went on the old motherboard and put them in the same place on the new one. What could be the problem?
