Power Mac Dual Mirrored Door Power Supply

Oct 3, 2007 12:47AM PDT

Hey just some info for everyone here. I have a G4 mirror door computer that was recently zapped (i think) in a thunderstorm. I had the Best Buy Geek Squad look at it. They said scrap it, it's done. I didn't believe so since this machine, even though it's older, it's a power house. So I googled places in Northern NJ that can service a Macintosh. I found this one place www.mac2utors.com that I decided to call. Their rates were resonable and they were Apple Certified and got the job done. I am posting this so people are aware that sometimes the "Big Shot" really doesn't know all that much and there are alternatives. Thanks

John

I used to bring it to CompUSA, until they shutdown in NJ.

to find friends or family (or colleauges) willing to help you with your computer problems. As long as you don't take the rip out of people's generosity, you will be a lot better off doing this than taking a machine to a shop.

I myself offer to fix anyone's computer that needs it, if I think I can handle the job, and I can guarantee I cost less, do it quicker, and don't take the rip out of people like most shops. For this reason alone I like knowing I have given people satisfaction and not just taken money out of their pocket.
