Power Lead

Hello, i was wondering if i could get some advice on my power lead. Yesterday my laptop would not charge due to waht i think is a broken power lead. When i put the black box of the lead to my ear it makes a clicking noise and maybe this has broken. Do i buy a new lead or is it fixable? Thank You

Power Lead

Hi HarryL22,

I think it would be safer to replace it.
There is always risk of electric shock or fire.

Rarely fixable but very testable.

A better tech will use a Volt meter to see if the brick is producing the right voltages.

Repair is possible but given repair rates, replacement is cheaper.
