my power adapter from my packard bell is broken, it has an output of 19v 2,6A

I also have an adapter from an other laptop that fits on my packard bell but it has an output of 19v 3,95A is it safe to use on my packard bell ?

The higher amperage output wont matter and it should be fine but just be sure the polarity is the same.. Positive center Neg. Outer..
