As soon as the new profile was implemented, my post count lost 60-70 posts. New posts are not showing up on the list, and my post count is fluctuating between 948 and 973. As far as being off by a month, yup...apparently we're on vacation from the forums, since I haven't been here since October 28th, and you haven't been here since ''Thursday, October 13, 2005 19:34PM.'' It may not affect the forums, but it is a huge disaster as far as the user profiles go, especially when 1/3 of the time it states the page cannot be found. (Refreshing the page usually corrects the problem.) Hopefully the techs will fix this soon, and be careful of what they implement in the future. (I like volunteering to beta test stuff, not being volunteered.)

The post counter and list of most recent posts are now up and running. In addition, when viewing all of a user's posts, it no longer has a page-long list of post 1-10, 11-20, ...991-1000. Aside from the time of the last visit being incorrect for most, and an occasional "page cannout be found," the profiles are now functional, and I must say a nice improvement over the previous.

I don't see any...

With the old layout, there used to be a banner ad (like the one at the top of every forum page) at the top of the profile, but I don't see any advertisements on the new profile. There's the standard links down the left side, but aside from that, it's strictly content the user puts up. The only thing I see that may be construed as an advertisement is the new products section that lists products I want and products I have. Although it does list the product's pricing and which partner stores currently offer it, it's existence as a wish list and/or a list of recommended products (you can see what products trusted members rely on, giving you an idea of what to buy, or who you can ask questions) is a valid purpose, which I feel outweighs any advertising purposes that may exist.
