Posting Websites for Digital Pictures

Sep 16, 2004 5:15AM PDT

I just started to get involved in digital photography (I know...a late bloomer) I am using a Canon Powershot S60 and taking BEAUTIFUL pictures. They download crisp and clear and even display on a large screen TV very impressively. My problem is when I attempt to post them on the web. I am trying to use OFOTO but the pictures come through very grainy and fuzzy. I am not sure if it is something I am doing wrong in the posting process, my software or OFOTO. I am using the highest possible resolution on the camera and it appears that the resolution is set that way when it post but it just looks like a cameraphone was used to take it! Is there anything I can do or try to clear these up or is there a better site that anyone has had a favorable experience?
Any suggest you be GREATLY appreciated!

I do not know about OFOTO much. But give a try on this link:
http://www.thetreasuredepot.com/cgi-bin/digitalcamera/digital_config.pl?#13844

Try it before you further trying to solve your OFOTO problem. I had downloaded my pics from my pc and they were appeared exactly like they were stored in my pc. Just follow the instructions on that site and you will have a nice time sharing your pics with others.

Regards,
JACKY.

Hi,

I was curious after reading your post, so I went to where I had pictures stored on Yahoo and looked at properties of one picture to check the file size. It was about 1/10th the size of the original. This could be one possible reason for the reduction in quality.
