Your next step is to strip down the machine to the fewest components needed to get a beep. Motherboard, power supply, CPU and HSF. No beeps leaves you with those three to replace. Get a beep and add the RAM, another beep put in a video card.
I've been having issues with my puter for a month or better now. Couple days ago,I was playing Quake3 and it froze up on me..again. I got fed up with it and went into the BIOS to reset the configuration data so 'hopefully' the IRQ issue could be resolved if that is indeed what it is. I've been getting sound loops, freezes, and when trying to do a 'repair' with the WINXP Pro CD,it freezes before I can repair with a IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL error. I can NEVER get to the repair! So...being absolfrigginlutely frustrated beyond imagination,I did the BIOS thing...and it hasn't worked since. I reset the config data...rebooted,the HD,CD and other drives went through a 'clicking' sequence and the light lit solid on the HD. Reboot, same thing. And the monitor would never come back on automatically, nothing on screen. So,I took out the CMOS batt, reset, and checked the BIOS,putting it back in Default everything....batt back in,jumpers back correctly....reboot,click click light. Took out the RAM,swapped em around, interchanging em...nothing. Before all this happened,I did a HD test which came out OK as well as a RAM test. Right now,the machine sits. It won't POST. The monitor won't even come on. I've got a board that has BIOS Speech or something, and it's not saying anything either. Did I really screw this thing up????
