What folk believe is what you have to go by. In your case you have to either change it or live with the complaints. Usually the complainer will stop if they had a Sony and you put in a Sony.
Nothing really changed as to force fields and such but I'll share what worked for us.
I purchased a LG 28LJ400BPU for my elderly 89 year old mother who moved into a senior home about a year ago. She had a Sony 24" Trinitron previously and wanted to update to the better TVs. I got the LG 28" because it was the only size that would fit her beloved entertainment center. She has Charter cable so hooked the TV up to the cable box via coax that was provided by apartment management. This is the same box and cable that was hooked to her Sony TV. A week or so went by and she started complaining about a skin rash and itchy skin. It continued to get worse so she made an appointment with a dermatologist and was tested for any sort of allergies. Nothing specific was found by the doctor. She has been tracking anything that has changed as far as diet, soap and medications with no changes noted. She has now fixed her sites on the only other thing that has changed, the new LG led TV. She now says that her legs get a tingling sensation if she sits for any length of time watching this TV. She says she feels better if she gets away from it for awhile. She is now convinced that this TV is somehow defective and causing her skin irritation by emitting some sort of force field. My mother is of sound mind and has always been very observant of her health and well being. I am going to remove the set from her apartment for a couple of weeks to see if she sees any improvement. I have contacted LG about this concern and they blew me off that their TVs are completely safe. I am going to put this out on the forum to see if anyone else has had any like experiences or suggestions. Unfortunately, I disposed of her old Sony so she now will be without a TV until we find some sort of answer to this weird situation. I have googled the net for any like situations on LED TVs but to no avail. I am totally dumbfounded by this situation. Looking for any input here.
