Question

Possible to get phone logs for Net10

Aug 18, 2016 7:03PM PDT

Does anybody know if it is possible to get the phone records from December 2015 from my Net10 phone? I no longer have a phone with them, but want to know if you think they will still have the records. I tried to call a few months ago when I was still a customer and the customer service guy said no he can't help me. Do you think he was just trying to avoid extra work. I figure the government would force these phone companies to keep records long time now with 9/11 and all and they are my own records....also just curious...if a number came up as "unavailable" on my phone would the actual number show up the phone logs?

I don't know any rep with them but be sure to be ready to get a court order.

Not much new going on here.

I've heard folk have to get court orders for text message logs so it's a sure bet you'll need it if they turn you down.

How easy to deal with government
Aug 19, 2016 12:17PM PDT

what I am asking is if you know how easy it is to get a court order. I am NOT asking about dealing with the cell phone companies or carriers. it seems silly to have to get a court order in the first place for your own records. is it to prove you are who you say you are or actual authority to retrieve records? If it is the later then why don't I need a court order to the bank to mail me last month's statement or to use my own debit card? I don't get it.

Sorry

But I would never call it easy or cheap.

As to your new question, the company will answer that. My bet is they'll cite privacy or such.

To be precise.....

....the OP will need a court subpoena, more than likely.

Can you see phone logs online ??
