Hey guys, if anyone could help me out with this, it would be sweet.
First off, Desktop Specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte z77x-udh3 Socket LGA 1155
CPU: i5-370k @3.4GHz
GPU: EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX570 1.2G video ram
RAM: 8GB ddr3
60gb SSD (for OS)
500GB 7500rpm internal (for everything else)
PSU: TX750w
Ok so I built this computer and was running 64 bit win7 and it seemed to be fine for a while. Games ran flawlessly, photoshop was fine, my DAWs and audio software were fine. Then I started having sound issues. I was getting cpu spikes in Presonus Studio One (Digital Audio Workstation, like Ableton etc.). I thought it was just the program or my audio drivers so I reinstalled and updated both, was working for a bit and then the problem persisted except now it was happening when just using Google Play and winamp as well.
So i left that alone and a similar problem permeated with my video card. I was getting fluttering fps even when playing something unintensive like WoW, when before Mirrors Edge and Mass Effect 2 ran beautifully in the past. So I updated my GPU drivers from nVidia and the problem persisted.
I then wiped and put a fresh install of windows 8. Updated my motherboard/cpu drivers as well as my audio drivers and GPU drivers, all of which have windows 8 64bit drivers available. I havnt had any sound problems but WoW and Mirrors Edge still has fluttering and unplayable fps drops.
Heres where the title of the thread comes in. Randomly get a BSOD with the error message: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
My computer then wouldnt boot until i unplugged it out of the power strip and plugged it directly into the wall.
So now im completely confused. I first thought it was a software issue and now Im thinking its a hardware issue. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could guide me in troubleshooting further or if theyve experienced anything similar.
Also note I bought all these parts through newegg only a few months ago, so everything is brand new and I should still be under warranty.
Thank you for taking your time
