Can anyone recommend a portable radio/boombox/speaker for use at the local drive in. It has to run off of battery power for at least 8 hours and have an fm tuner to pick up the sound signal. It should also provide clear, accurate sound for both dialologue, speaking parts as well as bass rich action scenes/sounds (explosions, crashes, monster roars etc..) with decent volume. I currently use a Grundig radio (as the fm tuner) connected via cable to a logitech wireless boombox bt speaker. The sound is pretty good for the most part but it gets distorted when I turn the volume up to the higher levels or during heavy bass scenes. The internal lithium battery usually gives out after the first movie and sometime during the early part of the second movie. Do you think a workshop radio like the one by bosch, or Dewalt would work better? Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
