Portable Hard drive won't show files

Feb 8, 2011 9:46AM PST

Hi,

So I have a seagate blackarmor portable hard drive, and for some reason I can't see the files I had on it anymore. When I rightclick and look at the data stored on the hard drive, I can see that the files are still taking up space on the drive. What should I do?

What DO you see in Windows Explorer?
- Maybe all files are hidden?
- Maybe you don't have access to the folders?
- Maybe all the files have been moved to the recycle bin?

Try on another PC.
Have a look at that disk after booting Ubuntu or any other Linux version. What does it show?
