But HP is in the news and the news is not good. Nice choice but I'd avoid them now.
Plenty of other fine choices out there.
This is my first time buying a laptop and I'd like to find one that I can also play games on. I want to keep it below 1k. I'm getting rid of my old HP desktop as my job will be taking me to different areas and I need a sort of all-in-one. I don't really play online games like WoW, but I do play Oblivion and I'm wanting to get something I'll be able to play Skyrim on when it comes out in November. I also like The Sims...not so intensive games, I guess. Right now I'm looking at an HP Pavilion dv6t Select Edition with these specs:
=Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 2nd generation
=Intel(R) Dual Core(TM) i5-2410M (2.3 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHzIntel(R)
=4GB DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm)
=Upgrade to 640GB 5400RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
-Is there another laptop better than this to buy? I'm not a "hardcore" gamer, but I would really like a laptop that's able to run this game. And I certainly don't need one that will give me the superbestmostawesome graphics around. Meaning I don't need to see every damn snowflake as it falls.
Any help would be extremely appreciated! And please be gentle. I know next to nothing about laptops.
