Pop-Up Using XP After Aborted Installation of HP All In One

Mar 16, 2012 2:23AM PDT

I was installing the software for my HP Office Jet J4550 on a computer running XP SP3. There was a power failure in my area and the operation was aborted. I tried to install the software again, but the installation was blocked by "an ongoing installation". Since then I continue to have a pop up that a disk was required to complete an installation:C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\7zS5.tmp\setup\BPDSoftware\

I hope someone has a solution as to how to find and remove the program installation that is ongoing!

Thanks!

Steve

New Microsoft Removal Tool Helped!

Thanks for pointing me to that tool! I thought Microsoft had deleted that tool. But it led me to the resolution!

Now, if I can only get the HP OfficeJet software to install! LOL I keep getting a message that it is installed even though I removed it. Hmmm Maybe that tool will help with that! I shall try it!

Thanks!

Steve
