Help!
Does anyone receive pop ups due to an rpun & s4xlkx command in the msconfig startup tab using Windows XP Professional?
This is what I see in the tab:
Startup Item Command
s4xlkx C:\WINDOWS\system32\s4xlkx.exe reg_run
rpun C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\rpun.exe
What I do to temporarily get rid of them is uncheck them and use a program msconfigcleanup to delete them. Then I'll run my Adaware & Registry Cleaner programs along with Yahoo's Anti-Spy to clean them out (In Safe mode also), but they'll reappear; not immediately, but something triggers them to reappear, so I think they're camouflaged somehow so they can't get removed?. I've even used regedit to delete any value that contains "s4xlkx" or "rpun", but they still reappear. I can't come up with any searches showing forums with people who talk about these 2 files so I need some other suggestions? Are there other websites I can post this problem on? Can anyone seriously dig up scoop on this because I can't find these files on any search engine. It's driving me nuts!
