Poor Customer Service With Wirefly

Jun 28, 2005 11:50AM PDT

I bought my phone and went to reply to the $270 in rebates. My $70 rebate just said Verizon Wireless rebate. I had no information sent to me related to how to apply for the rebate. I went to Verizon and they said I needed the box UPC label. I then checked the $200 dollars in customer rebates from Wirefly. They also required a UPC label. Unfortunately, the box was tossed. I called customer service. The second layer of phone messages allowed me the option of talking to someone. When a representative picked up the phone, he was from India and I had trouble understanding him. He said that the company would not assist anyone who had lost a UPC label. I asked to speak to his Supervisor. She said that the company would not authorize her to assist customers who lost UPC labels. I asked to speak to her Manager and she said that the Manager did not talk to customers. What a shock. Well since Wirefly will not help me with their online rebates, I'm spending my time providing reading material for all potential customers. The online prices are great. The materials you receive to reply to the rebates are poorly written. $200 dollars worth of rebates could only be redeemed between 150 and 180 days of wireless service. I'm sure Wirefly makes the profits to advertise on google by having lots of fine print that gets them out of paying rebates. Please don't buy from Wirefly. Unhappy in Chicago.
