General discussion

poor customer service

Mar 17, 2005 12:50PM PST

I have had the exact same problem with Wirefly as everyone else. I ordered my phone over a week ago, and am still being told that they are waiting vor Verizon to process my order. Every e-mail has gone unanswered, and I just now found their customer service number through this site. I will call tomorrow to cancel my order, and will never deal with this company again. I am also upset that I found out about them from an ad here on C-net. I was wrong in thinking that would give them even a small amount of credibility.

I went the other way.

I bought a Motorola V551 locally. I paid a few bucks more, got it in two minutes and I'm happy with that. The stress would have been worse going with rascals that treat customers the way you guys report.

They tossed in a car charger and a carrying case.

Local Dealers
Mar 18, 2005 1:44AM PST

Yeah alot of times local dealers will work with you on accessories and such to make the deal. It really depends on what they can do. A car charger case usually a hands free isnt out of the question as long as it aint blue tooth or something ridiculously expensive.

It also opens the door for a few options including more direct support with the phone, and a quicker time getting the actual equipment.

The only real fall back is a reseller agreement they make you sign, to ensure you stay connected but you are usully in with the carrier for a year anyway. But with that they also have moer insight into what works for you, not jsut someone reading from a map and entering a zip code 2000 miles away.

Best of LUCK!!!

I placed an order with InPhonic/Intelenet/Wirefly...(apparently all the same company) on March 7th. They e-mailed me on the 9th saying the phone I ordered was back ordered. I then placed a call to them (through the T-Mobile CS #) to request a different phone. On a 3-way call, my order was confirmed and I was told my phone would be at my house in 2 days.

The next day I went on the "where's my order.com to look for tracking info. The screen said "Per your request, your order has been cancelled". By this time, I was fed up & unable to contact ANYONE! This occured March 11th. I have dialed every phone number on the site to try and get my $140 BACK. Nobody can give me a date, and nobody knows WHY my order was cancelled!

Good luck to you, I truly hope you have better luck than I did.

I decided not to order from Intelenet
Jul 18, 2005 12:02PM PDT

I also assumed that since Intelenet was prominently advertised on CNET, that is was endorsed by CNET. After reading several horror stories in the forum, I am *not* going to order from this company. This makes me wonder if *any* of the CNET endorsements can be trusted...
