Poll: Will Molly buy an iPad?

Mar 30, 2010 12:38PM PDT

Now we all know how Molly feels about the iPad*, but do you think she'll actually buy one? Though she often discourages buying first-gen hardware (even when she does, see Droid), I bet she'll be getting a first-gen iPad by the end of 2010. So:

Yes, first-gen

What do you guys think?

I dunno

All I can say is, as an Apple fan. I can not imagine a situation I'd rather use an iPad if I have my iPhone, Macbook and iPad to choose between. Don't get me wrong I think it's the perfect tablet computer. I just don't see why I need one. But then I never saw the point in the Kindle and netbooks either.

travel light. These are all situations in which the in between size and a good battery life of a tablet would prove to be very handy over a the bulk and physical awkwardness of a Macbook yet offer a more compelling experience over an iPhone. Of course my iPhone is always with me, but its not something I spend extensive time browsing the web on. And I have noi interest in reading a book or watching a movie on that tiny screen. Its there when you need it and its certainly handy, but its too small for serious media consumption other than music. I'm really looking forward to magazines on it too. I'd love to get rid of my paper subscriptions. I think magazines could be the killer app that no one is talking about.

Unlike the Mac, Apple II and most Apple systems. The iPad is an entirely closed platform that's full of DRM.

Nope not the first Gen and most likely not the second Gen either.

She's kind of fickle. I predict she will get one,
Mar 31, 2010 11:54AM PDT

will fall in and out of love with it in the space of a week move on to an android option, love it and then hate the next week.

Rinse, lather, repeat.

Of course she'll get one.
