Real Wood Vs Vinyl Finish, Plus.....
Oct 31, 2006 4:51PM PST

....The CSi3 has a wood veneer finish versus a vinyl finish on the CS1. Also the tweeters are different as is the port design.

The CS1 is the perfect match for the Monitor 30. They both have the exact same tweeter and even the exact same mid/bass driver for excellent sound voice matching. The cabinet finish also matches.

The CSi3 is a match for Polk's RTi monitor speakers.

Thanks RR6 . one more question
Oct 31, 2006 11:30PM PST

Would you reccomend CS1 with my monitor 30 that I have. Or would it not hurt to purchase the CSi3. Is there that much difference. I would like the best speaker and these are my price range. If the cs1 matches my monitor 30's better then I will go with it. Im leaning torwards the cs1 because it is a match for the 30's and probaly would sound the best. Thanks again.

Yes....

....it is very important to have the same exact tweeter in all three front speakers and better yet all five.

Don't go with the CSi3 because you think they are a slighly better speaker. They probably are but the exact voice matching is far more important.
