It appears Polaroid does not offer this for sale or download.

thank you...

of course it wasn't what I was hoping for but to know from you means WAY more than an 'inkling' from anyone else. Thank you. I guess my next chore will be to find a similar remedial yet flexible photo editing program. Or I guess I could try to find a child who can teach me how to use gimp and such. lol
Again, thank you very much!

Was going to +1 this but download.com?

For now the concensus is to avoid that site until they stop with the bonus software.

I did think on it some

but decided at least the titles there would let him search for the source sites and get it from there.

???? I guess I wasn't clear.

I received as a gift a Polaroid 320 digital camera. For a first digcam, it was OK but I quickly outgrew the camera. The camera came with a 3 computer license to photoMAXse image-maker software. I loaded it onto the xp and it was the easiest program to use. Amazingly simple. Fast forward...
The xp has been replaced with a new gateway running windows7. The photomax disc just doesn't load. a pop-up appears saying something about the program not being supported and to check the website for updates. I've tried, and searched, and searched, and tried, and have asked, receiving only instructions on how to google.
I saw someone thanking for the right download link, but even then... I could find out nothing about said link. I figured if anyone knew, it would be the cnet crew.

I can't know because.

I didn't know what the PhotoMax was for. The link was not to help find it, but to show that I had no clue which product you needed support for.

Windows 98 Poloroid PhotoMax to Window 7
Oct 20, 2012 2:39PM PDT

This worked for me. I was able to get the main parts of PhotoMax 2.4 onto my Windows 7 Laptop. You need a flash drive of some kind. I downloaded of my old desktop onto the flash drive 4gig memory of an inexpenisve camera I have. Click on "Computer" or my computer. Click on your main drive letter, in my case is was "C". Then click on "program files". Look for your "Poloroid" file. Click on "Poloroid". You'll see "Photomax" there. RIGHT click on "PhotoMax" and then click "copy" Go BACK to "Computer" or my computer and click on "Computer" Look for the flash drive which should say "mass storage" or "removable storage" or something similar, it may also have a different drive letter. Click on "removable storage" and when it opens RIGHT click and hit "PASTE". This "paste" process may take a few miinutes so give it time, the PhotoMax program is fairly good size. Once it has finished, remove the flash drive and connect it to your new Windows 7 computer. In your new computer, ignor prompts to open any program to read the drive, simply "x" it away. Click on "Computer" and look for the "mass storage" or "removable mass storage". Click on "removable mass storage". You'll see "Photomax" there. Right click on "PhotoMax" file and the click "send to Documetns" or "send to desktop" WHICHEVER you prefer but remember where you send it. Now close all those windows and look for the "Photomax" file on your desktop or in "Documents"-wherever you sent it. Click on the "Photomax file" Within the PhotoMax file are tons of items. Look for the one that says only PhotoMax and has the PARROTHEAD. RIGHT CLICK on the PhotoMax Parrothead and hit "sent to desktop" NOW, you're ready to use PhotoMax again !!! It is the basic PhotoMax that you loved using, it may not have the storage files within the program, but you will be able to store your edited photos in your "Documents". I love PhotoMax and until tonight was living without it. I just figured this out now 10/20/12. Good luck.

Poloroid Photomax to Window 7

Thank you for these clear instructions. I was successfully able to transfer my favourite simple photo editing program to my Windows 7 laptop. I was then able to transfer ArcSoft Photo Printer 2.0, my favourite simple photo printing program.

I compliment you on the clarity of your instructions. It meant that this 71 yr old could easily understand and execute them.

Using Photomax Imagemaker Software on Windows 7
Jul 19, 2014 8:53AM PDT

I also love the easy to use Photomax Imagemaker Software & was unhappy that I could not get mty new Windows 7 PC to install it, not even with the Program Compatability Wizard. This is how I got it to work: I used it on my Windows 95 progams and when I upgraded to Windows XP I was able to install it through the Windows Compatability Program. When I got a new PC using Windows 7, the CD would not install. This is what I did to get it to work on Windows 7: When I transferred my pictures & documents from my old Windows XP PC onto a Verbatim External Harddrive via USB port, I sent the Photomax Imagemaker Software program to the external harddrive also. When I plugged it into my Windows 7 PC & opened up the Photomax program is worked fine & I pinned it to my desktop & am now able to use it on Windows 7. I don't know that this will work with all programs as I also tried this with a favorite (old) version of Printshop 5 that had some artwork on it that other editions did not have but it did not work with Printshop & is missing a file.. however, Polaroid Photomax Imagemaker works fine with my Windows 7.
