pocket pc vs. PDA,? Please explain...

Can someone give me a simply meaning for both. Which one is better? Is it true you can get an internet signalon a pda/pocket pc without paying(like with laptops sometimes,depending on your area)?

I've been looking at the palm zire 72,palm tx, and the pam z22. Now the term "pocket pc" has thrown into the mix, and know I need to know the big difference. Thank you, Sincerely, techno newbie
