Poblem installing Nectar toolbar (firefox and IE)

by gbswales1 / November 13, 2012 3:16 AM PST

I have been trying install the Nectar Toolbar - at the last stage of the install I see what looks like a windows message. I am logged in as admin and authorise the installation when asked.
"An attempt to install a browser toolbar/ extension was blocked" there is also (if you are quick a settings link)
On the settings link I can tick to allow it, which I do, but it still wont activate
It is listed in the explorer extensions list - two entries Nectar Toolbar and Nectar BHO
When I highlight the Toolbar entry and click enable, there is no error message but only the BHO gets enabled and no matter how many times I try it stays disabled.
I have checked with Avast support who say it is a windows message but I cant find anywhere in windows 8 or browser settings to change anything. Shortly before I installed the Roboform Toolbar successfully so it is not a genereal tool bar issue. The same toolbar installed fine in W7and IE9

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
