Resolved Question

PN51F5500 picture screen size randomizes .. any ideas?

Feb 3, 2015 4:25AM PST

Does anyone know if this is a firmware bug? I updated to the latest, but it's been happening on the previous.

What happens to the television is that the picture size randomly changes off center to the right while I am watching cable. The cable settings are set in 1080i and the television picture is set to 16:9. I can change all settings to something lower or zoom/wide and the picture still is off center to the right with black surrounding.

This happens in Netflix sometimes when the picture exceedingly zooms in and only 75% of the screen can be viewed.

The only way to fix this issue is to turn the television off, and then turn it back on.

Damn it I choose your answer as the correct answer, but it didn't work.

I updated to the latest 2206 on Sunday and did a reset. I watched Netflix yesterday and switched back to the episodes screen after a show ended, and everything blew up again and was out of proportion.
