Plural of forum

I'm a newcomer to the site and love it - very helpful even before I asked any questions.

But is the plural of forum nor fora?????

The old Romans (Julius Ceasar and contemporaries) surely said fora.
Present day Italians say fori (http://www.capitolium.org/).
Merriam-Webster (http://www.m-w.com) says: Inflected Form(s): plural forums also fo

My dictonary indicates either but forums is listed first and to me would be preferred for the reason stated by Kees. Grin Please do not start those other subjects in this forum either. Wink
