Then a factory restore will fix it. The problem I often run into is that I have shown owners it working with a new battery or charger and they still think it's software. Batteries are mostly 300 cycle units that can easily wear out in 12 to 18 months so when I see a many year old laptop I suspect the usual parts.
But to be sure we factory restore the machine.
Hi guys,
This is my first post here, and I joined primarily to find an answer to the question below. I realize this was the topic of another discussion, that has now been closed, but the suggested solution didn't work for me, thus I'm creating this post.
Problem description: I have a lenova G580-laptop running on Windows 7, bought in 2013. About two months ago I started receiving the message "Plugged in, not charging" when I connected it to the charger. Here is the weird part: I also have a acer-laptop running on Windows 7, also bought in 2013. Because of the plugged in, not charging-issue, I brought this with me to the cafe where I often go to work. All of a sudden, the same thing happened to this laptop... I have ran all the troubleshooting suggestions I could find online, and apart from changing the batteries, I feel that I've tried most suggestions. I can't help at least considering "conspiracy" explanations, because both computers started doing this simultaneously, and because I haven't been able to fix the issue. I feel convinced, that it must be software - not hardware - related.
If anyone has an idea how to fix it, I'd be grateful.
