General discussion

pls help, trouble with video lengh

Oct 30, 2005 11:13AM PST

I have some avi videos. Some times, when I open them with Windows Media Player or DIVX player, they show just some minutes of the video. Why sometimes the players don`t play the correct length ?

No fix planned.

The encoder or person that made the video goofed or purposely did that. Some pirate showed me this and I had to beat them over the head then toss them out so I know that issue now.

Fix? Get the DVD proper.

Cheers,

Bob

But they aren`t "comercial movies" videos, and the SAME videos sometimes play correctly and sometimes not.

So sometimes the players DO play the correct length? (of the same videos that are shortened)

Just curious if I understood your question correctly.

Sometimes the same videos do play the correct length and sometimes don't. with no appearant changes on the system. Its weird indeed.
