General discussion

Please suggest MP3-Player

My specifications are:

1.) 512mb bare minimum and 2gb maximum (this makes it difficult, since 512mb is usually flash, while >1gb is usually hdd).

2.) Lightweight, perferably <3oz.

3.) LCD display (and hopefully appealing; e.g. i think the Carbon is ugly, while simple designs are usually nice).

4.) Long battery life, perferably recharchable.

5.) FM Radio.

6.) Price smaller (&ltWink than 200 Canadian. (~175 US)

Thank you very much!

Sandisk Sansa 1 gig is the perfect flash player
Dec 20, 2005 8:10AM PST

In my opinion this is the perfect player.

Ultra Light, very small, has FM, has expansion slot for an additional memory card (up to 2 gigs additional), has backlight display and can be used as a usb drive, has a clear plastic case to prevent scratches, has SRS wow, and bass boost, equalizer, Audible compatible, uses a standard AAA battery, plays Mp3, wma, wma drm all this for: USD @ $120.00

Compare that to the iPod Shuffle and what do you get? a Sansa.

Go Sandisk.

Sansa also has @16 hours battery life. My actual usage with wow enabled is about two work days on a battery
