Please I need help with my laptop screen.

For some reason I get these teal colored waves going across horizontal on my laptop screen. This is what happened. I was watching a video clip on my laptop screen while I was eating my pizza. I get up and accidentally drop my plate; the plate hits the table first and then hits some of the buttons to the right of the enter button. The buttons to the right of the enter button are Home, PgUp, PgDn, and End. I have had a similar problem like this a couple of months ago where I would just get random colors on my screen. I got the screen fixed last November because I had warranty, but now the warranty expired. I am running Windows SP2 on this Toshiba M35XS309. I haven't upgraded anything on the laptop and it is not any virus/spyware software because all the software was loaded before this ordeal happened. Could it be that I accidentally wiped out some setting? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks R.Profitt and freezinghere for a reply. For some reason when I turned on the laptop, the problem vanished. Now I did this last night, I turned on the laptop and turned it off, and still got the problem. That was a bit odd, Toshiba makes some really odd laptops.
