Please Help With Network Issues. No Internet!!

ok so i have a intel extreme series motherboard with a Intel(R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection and after i installed my xp the driver was errored in device manager. i thought i could just reinstall driver. downloaded from intel and installed to no avail. tried to update manually and my network adapter was not found under the list. please somebody help me or try. i am trying to use this system to game and everything else so i need internet. please help

On-Board LAN? The correct driver

...have you downloaded the correct driver ? Then uninstalled the previous driver and install ? Maybe you need to download the whole set of drivers for the MOBO, rather than just for the adaptor.
