Please help tell me if TW2003 works w/ my cpu I have specs!

Dec 29, 2004 7:30AM PST

I saw TW 2003 for 10 bucks at a local store and want to buy it, but want to make sure it is compatible with my CPU. I am retarted when it comes to tech info. I can figure out basic things and even some specialized areas for hardware and software, but I know nothing about video cards. I don't play a single game on my cpu but have been playing TW on ps2 and want to play on my cpu also. Anyway, please help me out by saying if my current system will support it. I will be getting a new CPU in a few months.

MY COMP:
eMachines T1220,Celeron 1.20 GHZ, 128 SDRAM, 40 GB hard drive, and when I ran a Belarc Advisor this is what appeared in the display section: Intel(R) 82810E Graphics Controller [Display adapter]I have no idea what that means. Also on the front of the tower it says it has 3D Graphics Intel Driver AGP.

The TW2003 requirements are:
System: PII 333 or equivalent
RAM:64 MB RAM
CD-ROM: 8X CD-ROM
Video Memory: 4 MB VRAM
Hard Drive Space: 500 MB
DirectX: DirectX v8.1

It Looks Like You're Covered...

...although just barely...Still, I don't believe the Tiger Woods game is all that graphic intensive. The main concern would be the video memory and RAM required but it appears like you've got an AGP video card which should easily supply the 4 mb needed.

If you intend on viewing the game well, you should install more than 128 MB of RAM. Depending on your operating system, I'd try to get to about 512 MB if I could. Then again, you meet the minimum requirements, so it should work 'ok'.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much...I didnt add anything to the computer, I read the 3D AGP thing on the front of the tower so I assume I have an AGP card in there. Thanks its only 10 bucks so who cares? Appreciate it.
