I'd go with the SD780.
I'm deciding between buying these three cameras:
Canon SD1200IS
Canon SX120
Canon 780IS
I am a beginner with very little knowledge of settings/shutter/ISO etc. All I want is a camera that I can point and shoot and will figure out the settings for me. Maybe I'll learn more someday, but for now I want the best picture quality and ease of use with the emphasis on picture quality. I will NOT be taking video so video options and so forth should be completely discarded. I sometimes will take photos with movement, like from a moving car, but I don't know how to use settings, again, I need a camera smart enough to automatically choose the right setting and get the best picture without any effort from me other than pressing the button.
Please help me choose from the three cameras. Which camera takes the best automatic photos? It would be a huge problem if I had to keep on changing settings so smart autoshooting feature is a top priority. I like to print photos from 4x6 to full 8x11.
Out of the SX120 and SD780IS (same price), which takes the best photos and would be best for someone like me?
Does the 12.0Megapixel important enough to make the SD780IS the obvious choice (I print mostly 4x6 (80%), and some 8x11 (20%)?
The SD1200IS is cheaper so I will give weight to that based on price. Is the photo quality of the SD1200IS very close to that of the SD780IS and SX120? The SD1200IS is $149 versus $199 for the other two, does it take good enough auto pictures to make it the best overall value due to the price?
Thank you all so much and I hope I gave everyone enough information.
