Please Help! Need to stabilize video 8 analog transfer

I am using an old Video 8 Handycam, via a canopus analog/digital converter, onto my MacBook Pro, using FCP... and the image is rolling- I don't have a TBC (time base corrector) so I need some ideas how to stabilize these images. Granted, they're almost 20 years old... not quite.

Suggestions? Anyone?

I'd really appreciate it.
