Ok, I have a Canon ZR100 minidv camera

I was filming this morning, and it told me "please eject the tape" and i did, after doing that i have tried putting it back in, and it keeps ejecting the tape, i put the tape in, close the first cover, and it doesnt go back into the camera, it just beeps and ejects the tape

what is wrong with it? how can i fix it?

Thanks.

yes, the first time it happened to me

i recycled the camera, here are instructions if you dont know what to do

take off the li-ion battery, open the little plastic ''door'' for the backup battery, take out that too

make sure there are no tapes in the camera (isnt that why there is a problem?)

turn the switch to camera, then vcr (or whatever up and then down) then off, then put the batterys back in and try to put a tape in.

If you cant follow my instructions, or it doesnt work, contact Canon and tell them about it.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately it didn't work. I talked to canon today and luckily it is still under warranty. They tell me the problem is due to me leaving the tape in the recorder and some of the oil from the tape interfering with the gears. Who doesn't leave the tape in the recorder?

I'm sending it out for repair/ trade-in tomorrow.

Thanks again

You should NEVER leave the tape in a recorder for

an extended period of time. By extended, I would think 10-12 hours as a max.
