It would help

..... to have more information As noted in red above:

"Note: If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. " Also, wich browser you are using."

You were able to post in this form. Which forums were not accessible to you?

Re: Windows 8

Well, Windows 7 is only released half a year ago or so. So you must be using a VERY early prototype of Windows 8. I don't think many people outside Microsoft do have that.
So why not contact the Microsoft development team about this issue?

Notes and questions...

1.) There is no compatibility issue between IE8 and Cnet's sites and services, so you won't need to switch to a different browser.

2.) Cnet requires that you accept cookies for cnet.com, but allowing third-party cookies is not required. Since you're successfully posting here in the forums, it doesn't sound as if that's the source of the issue.

3.) Cnet publishes dozens of newsletters that link to various parts of the site (Forums, Downloads, News, Reviews, etc). Thus, we'll need to know which newsletter you are referring to (both title and date of publication) and, more importantly, the URL of the page to which you are attempting to post a comment/reply.

Tell us about #3 and we'll see what we can do to resolve the issue you're experiencing.

Let us know.
John
