Please help me find my perfect laptop

by eburgess2012 / July 28, 2011 9:23 AM PDT

Here's what I want:
1) Blue-ray player
2) 15in to 17in
3) USB 3.0
4) Backlit keyboard
5) NO HP, DELL or TOSHIBA!!!
6) $1400 MAX
7) I enjoy playing The Sims 3, I need a computer that will run this game to its fullest capacity. So, probably a dedicated graphics card.

Thank you

Use the laptop pickers at the top of the forum but be aware that some laptops are on backorder or delayed due to supply issues (I hope you remember why.)

PS. Just a note.

There are few members that run this through the laptop picker for you as anything may change as no one can guess what country you are in.

Try this. Find a few and share the make and model number plus a link for comments.

Then you have to call the makers and ask them.

We know the problem with BluRay supplies which may mean you'll be waiting for the perfect laptop for a long time.

Nothing hits all the list but then again I found USB 3.0 to be "not a big deal." Not buying that again.

This was #7 on a list using the laptop chooser noted in the forum links.

The Samsung RF23M8090SG

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
