Question

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Aug 7, 2018 4:46PM PDT

Im currently building my pc... sorta, and i need some help. I currently am using a HP Pro Desktop with a core i5-2300 and a 265watt psu on windows 10 pro, I bought a PNY GTX 1050 2gb thinking i could slap it in the pc and it would work just fine, but it didnt. the prebuilt that i have has a coupertino 2 motherboard witch apparently doesnt support gpus.so when the gpu is in and i boot it up it gets stuck on the HP boot screen. So im planning on buying a case a motherboard and a new more powerful psu. but i dont know what kind of motherboard to buy for the cpu (core i5-2300) Its a lga 1155 but i dont know where to find a decent one for a cheap price that will be compatible and that supports gpus... PLEASE HELP! I want to be able to game with my 1050 2gb my i5-2300 and the 8gb of ddr3 ram that i already own. what are some good motherboards that will work with that?

Re-Tell more about this GPU support

My exact computer is a hp pro 3400 series micro tower. I bought it about a year ago and ive always wanted to put a gpu in it so i can play games. recently about a month or two ago i bought a PNY GTX 1050 2gb. when i put it in and plugged my hdmi cord into my gpu everything would spin up and there was no blue screen or black screen or anything, it just got stuck on the HP boot screen and it would beep once every so often. So i did some digging and it turns out the computer has a coupertino 2 motherboard, I dont exactly know what that is but apparently that model of the mobo does not support dedicated GPUS.

Heres a video of a different HP pc that has the same motherboard: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejyP8QJtDNc

I dont know if thats exactly what you where asking me to tell you more about im sorry if i missunderstood you.

1. Be sure the BIOS is their latest.
2. Try an AMD GPU.

Ive tried both. the mobo i have doesnt have gpu support. I posted this to see if anyone knew any good LGA 1155 mobos that are cheap and support both the GTX 1050 2gb and the i5-2300

The windows activation key is tied to the old mobo.

Change the mobo and you buy a new key.

The only versions of Windows today
Aug 10, 2018 2:27PM PDT

That don't break the License are CRACK PIRATE COPIES. Well the license is already void by the crack so the folk that used nothing but crack pirate OSes could reply with "that's crazy talk."

So far all the Ultimate Windows 7's we saw in the past 9 years were all pirate copies. Shame.

PS. It would take a lot more to cover what versions break and which do not but after decades in the PC repair world, you run into pirated, cracked and leaked VLM copies far too often.
